Painting...it's all I do

This week the goal is to finish our bathroom. I finished the trim and cabinets on Tuesday (what a long and exhausting project! It literally took all day), and the touch up yesterday. Today I decided to add more work on and got to work stenciling the walls with a diamond shaped pattern and metallic gold paint. It sounds really gross, but I promise it looks good- kinda like a moroccan or maybe New Orleans style.

Hopefully we can get some of our stuff put in there permanently tonight (like in the drawers and everything!) And then we'll be able to quit leaving our clean clothes draped over the couch since we'll be able to get into our closet much easier.

I also worked on getting bids for someone to get the popcorn down off of the 2nd story living room and loft areas. The very first bid was actually pretty good so I was excited. The second guy that came was a pain in the butt because he kept calling for directions, had to reschedule, then told me how he should do it which would take twice as long as what we wanted, and then didn't call when he said he would to give me a bid that was $2000 less than the first guy. Umm...I don't think so!

One of my contractors from work came by and gave us a bid a little lower than the first guy too- which was probably because I told him what it was (no shame in getting a better price for yourself, you know? Especially since there's not very much work for the guys these days). And I'm still waiting to hear back from the guy that came today. Hopefully next weekend we will have a newly painted living room!

Plus I can't wait to have a weekend off- we might have a new addition to the family by then. Baby Emma Lee is due at the end of the month but mom (cousin Kayla) is on bed rest right now because of swelling, so hopefully they will induce her sometime next week. I can't wait to meet her! There's a customer of mine that has an 8-month old that is so cute, always smiling, so I wonder how Emma will be.

On a completely random note: I had a dream about my wedding dress the other night, about the lace and how beautiful it was, and how I couldn't wait to wear it. I sorta wish I could pull it out of it's archival box that was way too expensive and wear it around the house.
