Next on the to-get list: an awesome camera that lets me focus on what I want to focus on, like the yummy texture of the cheesecake, not the plate of balls in the background. And we currently have exactly two cheesecake balls left. They are that good.
My only requirements for the 4th of July this year were a hotdog, some beer, and some kind of sugary thing with red/white/blue. I am happy to say I fulfilled my list.
We spent Friday and Saturday evenings with Travis and Stephanie- Friday we grilled some fish and corn and watched Paul Blart: Mall Cop on Pay-per-view. The movie was not great and I fell asleep. We also made a delicious new drink called a watermelon mint cooler. It's watermelon, lemonade and vodka blended up and served over ice with mint leaves. It would taste excellent with or without the vodka.
Saturday they came over again and we grilled hot dogs and ate cheesecake balls and had some beer, then went to Sneaky Pete's to try and catch some fireworks. Unfortunately they were too far away to get a good show, but we had fun just hanging out on the lawn and talking about our trip to Cancun in T-minus 4 days!
