They are famous for their sticky buns, and Liz/Louis dig the egg sandwiches. I loved their use of interesting ingredients in their baking. They even had a vegan mixed berry muffin top that looked so good. I probably could have eaten everything in that place.
Again, lots of dogs and families around. We drove over to the Museum of Fine Arts and I was able to successfully use Liz's Bank of America card to get in for free. They waited a couple of minutes and got in free as well! That's probably the main reason we went to the museum, to fill the day and because it was free. They had these cute baby heads out by the entrance:
I helped him out with his ear wax and boogers.
Liz/Louis helped me with my Buddhist chanting. Our favorite piece was a video presentation where a guy found fans of Madonna to come and perform one of her CDs in entirety. They had ear buds in and would sing along with the music. He put them all together and they play in unison so it seems like they are singing together. I could have watched that thing all day it was so funny.
We then found some more random shops with super cute stuff that you don't have any real use for but you want to buy anyway, like this Japanese water-writing board thing. I decided that it will be really hard to find cute baby things that are unisex, unless you go to these random shops where they have lots of cute stuff.
We were at a thrift store and spotted this great top. I walked away and when I turned around she was putting it on to make me laugh! Then we casually chatted outside a cupcake shop.
This is not posed. These cupcakes are smaller than Magnolia Bakery's with much more sugar throughout. I can never turn down a good cupcake! After we got all sugared up, we headed over to Harvard to walk around. There were cool buildings, people on tours, and an old water pump that they just had to try out.
After a quick shower, and a beer from the specialty 6-pack Liz/Louis picked out for me, we headed out to the Italian Festival. It was honoring St. Something of Agrippa? It was super crowded but as soon as we were in the middle of it, Liz said, "I love festivals! They are my favorite thing!" I liked it more when we got some food and luckily found a seat.
They had these balls made with rice, meat, and peas that are fried and then they crack them open and pour marinara sauce over them. So so good. We also had some fried calamari, mozzarella sticks, and ravioli. We sat just near this excellent statue. People would enter a drawing to win a car, some money, and some other stuff.
We finished off the festival with some chocolate-chip cannoli's, and then walked for quite awhile to find a bar where we could sip on some limoncello. I didn't get a picture of that, but Liz got a funny one of the three of us, plus the butt of some random statue that was on the bar.
We decided Saturday would be our night out on the town, so we went back home to change into our club-wear and went to a club that was supposed to have European music on the top level and Hip-Hop on the bottom level. We were there early before anyone got there so we hung out and had a beverage while we waited for the crowds to come. Then we headed upstairs and danced until they closed the place down!
We each had a dance partner: Liz's was a person, mine was a brick wall. Until the brick wall decided to get a little too close for comfort.
Back at the house, we all sat on the bed together and played a couple of rounds of Catch-Phrase. It was funny to me because Louis was right there, just like any other girl at a sleepover, sitting on the bed and playing a game. We got to sleep a little late, but were looking forward to Day 4- our expedition through 3 states!
