1. Both kids were dressed- cute- before 10am.
2. I finished all of the chores I aim to do twice a week which include taking out the trash and recycling, vacuuming the living room rug, washing diapers, and cleaning the litter box.
3. I finished all of my daily chores which include unloading the dishwasher, making the bed, picking up toys, and washing a load of laundry. Did you notice that one of the chores gets checked off of both lists? Hehehe
4. I prepared and ate breakfast with Abs before Francie woke up. It was just toast with chocolate peanut butter and hot tea but it was delicious.
5. We grocery shopped and even remembered random things that weren't on our list. And we didn't spend more than usual.
6. Abs and I enjoyed Amy's Frozen Things for lunch. She had mac & cheese and I had pad Thai. She even tried some yogurt covered raisins that she previously picked out and wasn't even concerned with getting a sticker for trying a new food. That's a big win- I want her to try foods just to try them and eventually find some new favorites.
7. Big kid woke up from her nap crying and I was able to comfort her.
8. Less than 2 hours of screen time. That's a hard one!
9. I made dinner, and it was a new recipe: Chicken Carbonara. It was delicious and easy and I didn't even get mad when Abby said over and over that she didn't like it and it was yucky and she didn't even try it first. I still win because she ate 3 bites later so she could get a couple of Oreos. Bribery works.
10. Everyone except me was asleep by 7:30.
11. I was able to button my pre-pregnancy shorts, and I wore them all day. They aren't as comfortable as usual but they will be soon enough!
My reward came earlier this afternoon as I was holding the baby for her nap/my rest. I was crying over a really great old episode of Parenthood, big sister was sleeping, and it started to rain. It was all so relaxing. I watched 3 episodes of the show then and I'm on my second (and last if I want to get any sleep tonight) of this evening.
I could have gotten extra credit if I put even the smallest amount of makeup on, but I sure did not! You win some, you lose some!
