I prefer it with flowers in the middle of the table. But Bean did a good job suggesting our blue bowl. I wanted each chair to be different, with the same finish but it didn't work out so we did the best we could. It's still the exact look I wanted, even if it is only two styles of chair.
Here's a close-up of the different finishes. Frankly this kinda grosses me out. I don't like when customers try to match a stain with a paint color and this picture is exactly why. The chairs look cheap and ugly.
(On a side note, I am a complete annoying customer: I stressed out about matching the paint to the fabric, and the paint to the stain- both are nearly impossible and I can't stand it when people ask me to do either one.)
But in person they really do look more like the pictures above, and I like them.
And now, for the reveal of our new/improved guest/future baby room:
The idea is natural colors, organic decor, and old family pictures in sepia tone. Comforting. The only thing missing is a white quilt that hasn't been purchased yet. It's too hot for a comforter anyway. Here's a close-up of the pictures:
Included are my Granny, Bean's Granny, my Grandmother Sandy, Bean's Pop-Paw Hanna, my Grandaddy Benson, I think Bean's Great-Grandparents and some others that we don't know. One of them is on my side of the family and looks just like my Mom. And me! There are more pictures across the room hanging under the 'Family' sign. We are always interested in more pictures- I would love to see this wall nearly covered in frames.
I'm a freak about picture frames. They are my favorite thing to buy, aside from shoes and dresses. I could shop for any of those three things anytime, anywhere. And I love putting clusters of pictures in our house. We now have this one, one downstairs with wedding pictures and group pictures of my girls at each of their weddings, and one in our bedroom of black/white cities we've been to together.
I would love to cover every square inch of our loft with picture frames that include random funny pictures, our Christmas cards, my graduation party signature mat, my diploma (where is that thing anyway?), and any other random things I can think of. I don't think Bean likes the idea.

Love the table! You are such a great decorator!
I wanted to be the first to comment. How the girl witht he nes baby beat me is a mystery. I like diff chairs also and liked how it all truned out. I love the baby/guest/family pictures room. That green color is very tranquil (sp). You will have to help with wall colors for the guest bathroom (green) and Pear future big girl room (no idea what colors yet but think a light light pink will be in hte mix). I just love your decorating and am so jelous.--Whitney
