BBB2:
I'm so sorry that I have been doing other things instead of writing you a letter every week. To be honest, sometimes writing blog posts seems overwhelming when I get behind. I still have to finish posts about the rest of the master bedroom and bathroom remodel (I have lots of pictures and details to share!), plus your sister's first birthday party and the pregnancy announcement for you!
Last week was very rough with your sister having some weird sleep thing going on. It started on Wednesday when she woke herself and mama up at 4:30am. Long story short, she skipped her afternoon nap that day and mama had a little breakdown! The next day we tried only one nap but she's still a little young for that so it took us through the weekend to figure it out and get her in a good mood again. Daddy let mama take a 3 hour nap on Saturday, so that was very nice!
For Mother's Day we had breakfast at the Original Pancake House- 7am is the best time to go! Because mama wanted chocolate chip pancakes, just like almost every other Sunday. We relaxed around the house, watched a documentary called Mortified- it was about people getting in front of a crowd and reading their middle/high school journal/diary. Funny stuff and mortifying!
Then we went to cousin Merilee's for lunch and handed out cards announcing YOU! All the moms got it fast but your cousin Blake took quite a few minutes and some prodding to understand what we were trying to say. There was a picture of your sister crying with a shirt on that said "Only Child expiring November 2014".
You are so sweet to mama. I've only ralphed one time. One time! And I'm able to eat healthy foods, and no bad cravings for gross stuff like McDonald's. I don't really think I have any cravings, other than wanting a hamburger and/or Whataburger every Saturday. I think your Dad is getting tired of it!
I've felt a few flutters here or there but you seem pretty calm overall. I can't wait until our appointment next week- I'm really hoping to hear your heartbeat finally!
Last night we watched a Lifetime movie called Return to Zero about a couple that has a stillborn baby boy at 38 weeks, and then goes on to have a healthy baby girl. It was really sad and really hard to watch, and your Daddy really thought we shouldn't have watched it while you are in mama's belly. I can't wait to meet you in a few months!
