Florida Day 4: Epcot

We set an alarm on vacation.

It was worth it because we were up early to go meet princesses and have breakfast. It was also worth it because it put us at the front of the most coveted ride at Epcot- one we couldn't even get a Fast Pass for!

We were up and on our way, walking to Epcot by 7:15 am. The boats that could transport us weren't running that early, but luckily for us it was just a 20 minute walk.

Breakfast was a smooth sailing machine. We checked in and they called our names. As soon as we walked in we got to meet Belle!

Please notice Abby's Elsa play dress (again, separate post coming up). It was the perfect day to wear it because of that most coveted ride....

When an awed Abby walked away from Belle she said, "Mom, it's your favorite one!!" with all of the excitement in the world.

The food was a buffet of various pastries and lox (score! my favorite!). Our big girl was excited about the chocolate chip muffins.

Then they brought out a platter of hot food- eggs, bacon, sausage, and an amazing potato casserole which I'm pretty sure was filled with cheese and cream and I couldn't stop eating it. Oops. I didn't notice a big issue with Francie's tummy though.

The princesses started coming around to the tables and Cinderella was first! She was so sweet.

Big sister requested that she take a picture with the baby.

Ariel was next. Abby told her all about how she dressed up as her for Halloween, but the mermaid version, not the human version.

Aurora was next and again Big Sister looked out for Little Sister and requested a photo for her.

That baby was COVERED in food, as was the floor. I think Aurora didn't want to get too close.

We were finished with breakfast by 8:45, and it included a parade through the restaurant with the kids and princesses and a song about the glory of love.

The park opened at 9am and we were in line for the Frozen ride, which was right next door to the restaurant, before then.

We could tell it was 9am, not by checking our clocks, but by witnessing other people literally running to get in line for the Frozen ride as soon as the park opened.

Apparently they couldn't get a Fast Pass either!

We were in one of the first few boats that morning! My favorite part was seeing Olaf skate around, but Abby and I were both scared of the snow monster part. The set up inside where the line snakes through was really cool too.

Meanwhile, out in the gift shop, we found this troll. Francie was snoozing.

We had awhile before our first Fast Pass that day, so we went inside and played games while Francie napped in the stroller. Abby loved this game and talked about it for a few days after- it was something about fixing a body and had a 3D skeleton.

Baby woke up!

The fancy nursing room was too far to walk before our first Fast Pass, so I nursed her through the whole ride inside that big ball.

It was my favorite ride of the trip and takes you through the evolution of communication from solitary hunters to today. It was long and amazing! Perfect for nursing a baby in the dark.

Our next Fast Pass was Finding Dory. I thought the ride was cute, but Bean and Abby weren't very impressed. Francie needed to nurse again so I sat down in a corner inside this aquarium area and took care of business.

Later as we were walking out I saw another mom doing the same thing with her older child sitting nearby, just like mine did. Solidarity, sister!

We walked around a little more but had lots of time before our final Fast Pass and needed to eat lunch.

We walked through Canada....

And had lunch in Great Britain at a pub. The food was decent and it felt good to just sit down.

This is where our day fell apart. We should have just gone back to the hotel because the baby was ready for another nap and was tired from a short early nap and being up early before that. But we knew if we left we wouldn't come back so we pushed through and went back for that final ride.

It was some Imagination with Figment thing and it was terrible! We were all so tired and hot and frustrated and ended up walking all the way back because the water taxis are so slow. We all had aching legs, but we also all napped in the room at the same time.

Kind of. The baby was restless which kept me and Bean awake.

Later that evening, we went to the pool- Francie's first time- and counted that as bath. The day slowly got better. We ordered room service for dinner and found a movie to watch while we ate.

Big suggestion for Disney: have a movie channel at your resorts showing only animated movies on a loop. Families sometimes want to zone out and not watch the actual Disney Channel that has tween shows on.

We were so tired we all went to bed by 8:30pm.
