Greetings from Crossland Economy suites!

We are finally settled in at our hotel for the next few weeks. It is tiny- a full size bed, desk with room for one person to sit at, and no bathtub- only a shower. It's pretty cozy in here with the two of us and the cat. She loves looking out the window at all of the interesting people outside, while we make sure the door is securely deadbolted.

I'm just glad to be here today. Last week was so hectic with both of us working full time and moving full time. We got everything finalized with our tenant on Thursday, and also put an offer on another house on the same day.

This one is a house we saw a few months ago, but I made Bean delete it from our favorites because it was above our price range. I was freaking out about money at the time and decided that we shouldn't even look at anything out of our range. But in a last-ditch effort, we looked around and it was still there! So we set up a showing, and really loved the place, much more than the other one we had an offer on that was dragging their heels in responding to us.

We put in an offer, and found out the next day that they had another offer presented the same day. We were told to put in our highest and best offer, and we did. It's really scary to keep adding onto the price you will pay for a place, but when you fall in love with it, especially if you add the desperation of living at a hotel, you will do almost anything to get the house you want. Especially if you think it will be good for resale in a few years.

For some reason, I can't add a picture right now, but we are scheduled to close on September 4th. I should have some more pictures then!
