Experiments with the Cricut

I wanted to share the two most recent cards I've made. Since I can make my own envelopes, I love doing a patterned one with a solid card inside. Usually the envelope color dictates the card. My favorite part is picking out the paper. Right now, my least favorite part is figuring out how it will all go together- mainly because I haven't figured out exactly how the Cricut sizes translate to real sizes. Like if I tell it to cut something to 1", it's usually smaller, but sometimes larger.

Brittney's birthday card. I have to say it's not my favorite. I'll blame Michael's for not having a good supply of plain papers in various colors. Hence the strange yellow present and overall lack of interesting color.
Liz's engagement card. I got lucky on this one because we have the same favorite color- that peacock blue. I found a set of stickers that went with the color theme and it was easy from there.
