Brooklyn is 2!

I've decided that Brooklyn's birthday is July 4th. We got her in November 2010, and she was 4 months then. I've always wondered if adopting a human child feels any different than adopting a dog child. There are a few things she does not do: she does not wear clothes, she does not stay calm enough to go on leisurely walks, and she does not express affection. She can run really fast. She loves apples: And carrots, cheese, and popcorn. She really gets excited when I start popping a bag of popcorn. She loves her toys. She's really good at getting a toy, bringing it to you on the couch, then waiting for you to throw it to her.
After she's had enough of that, she rips the toys to shreds. We currently have a raccoon tail, a few pieces of brown fabric, and chunks of a purple chewy thing floating around. She will also play catch with the bits of fabric. She knows how to sit, high five, and shake, and she gets confused over 'lay down' and 'roll over'. She barks at the yard guy and loves looking out the windows.

She goes to daycare about twice a week to get her energy out. She has been in time-out once.

She is also very helpful each morning. As soon as I start getting ready to go anywhere, she makes sure to bring my shoes in and put them on the bed. Usually Dad is sleeping and she will bring my shoes in and then lay down by him. But even if he's at work, she will bring any shoe in to me:She's such a cute girl. I don't remember what it was like before she lived with us.
