My last post about the living room teased the new blinds and curtains, which have been installed for awhile now and we are still in love with!
Here was the game plan. I have an old coworker who we saw at a home show who was working for JC Penny doing window treatments. Very random. I didn't even know JC Penny did custom window treatments. It was great because she came to the house and measured, then when the curtains came in she stopped by once more so I could choose the color for the blinds.
I loved looking through all of the samples and picking something with a little texture, but something that still lets in a lot of natural light and is neutral so we won't have to change it.
Again, with the patterned curtains and woven shades! I had to take these photos at night to show what it actually looks like because they let in so much light that photographing it during the day never worked.
Can't stop, won't stop!
I feel like I stepped out on a limb with these curtain rods. I love that it's one rod for all three windows, but the finish I chose to tie in with this foot rest we have in our dining room / wet bar area. It's the same finish and I'm thinking ahead to when we update that room and install a library ladder. It will be this same brushed gold metal.
The living room is the busiest room in our house and once we deal with the amount of kids toys in here, and move the desk back out, we will be in good shape relaxation wise.
PS- My desk is in the living room while we finish working on my new desk for my new study. Right now the desk is in pieces in the garage halfway to being refinished. I can't wait to share that project with you!

WOW! Love looking at all the pictures and seeing how much work you two have gotten done!
CANNOT stop laughing about "one A.E.B." and her (alleged) naptime. The kid's got energy! ;-)
Oh, and thanks again for fixing up "my" room .... know you guys were hoofing it to get it done ....
Love you all
I can't believe how lucky you were to run into your friend like that and look at how amazing the chance meeting was! The blinds and the curtains fit your living room perfectly and the curtain rods you chose tie everything together nicely. What a beautiful room. I can't wait to see what you do with your desk and study!
