We got some feedback from our two showings this weekend. One was neutral- they were just looking. The second didn't actually get to see the house because the Realtor couldn't get her card to work. But they said it is a little overpriced, based on another house with the same floorplan that's a short sell. Our Realtor said ours is probably higher because with a short sell the bank will actually lose money on the original mortgage, just to get the house sold. I'm hoping they come to their senses and realize that they are more than welcome to offer less than our asking price- in fact, we are expecting that to happen! And we'll probably accept even if it is less, just to get out of here!
Also, we've been spending WAY too much time talking about our plans to remodel the house we found in Valley Ranch. I'm going to go today and try to start coming up with a design for the rooms. We're going to keep the Texas stuff we have and put it in the loft up top as the office. The master bedroom will still be the gray with black/white photos, but if I can find cool looking gray fabrics, we might change it a little bit. And maybe we'll actually have a design for the guest bedroom, instead of throwing all my college furniture in there.
It's so great to have a project to work on. As much as I like being lazy and sitting around the house on my days off, this gives me something to think about, something interesting. And it makes me leave the house!
