Cholesterol, Thyroid, and Peanut

I was at the mall the other day shopping for the National Sales Meeting that's next week. Since I have uniforms for work, I don't really have any business casual clothes to wear for an entire week. Anyway, I went into Western Warehouse since it's going out of business to see what kind of ugly plaid shirt I could find for Bean. My phone rang and it was my doctor's office, calling with the results of my blood work.

She said, "Dr. ___ would like you to come back in because your cholesterol was high and your thyroid." At least I think that's what she said because when I heard her say I have to come back in, I freaked out. Because they never give you bad news over the phone. I've been really upset about it since that phone call.

It feels horrible to know that I did something wrong, with my eating and working out. I know what the right thing to do is. I used to do it all the time- no questions asked. I just got bored with doing cardio, and we moved, and blah blah blah, so many excuses. I said I was looking for motivation, and I guess I got it!

I did some research on the thyroid thing- symptoms that I have include extreme fatigue (I now have a reputation for being able to sleep an entire night, plus fall asleep at any movie, and take a 2-hour nap during the day, and can fall asleep just about anywhere as long as I'm sitting down); inability to stand cold temperatures; brittle nails; and memory problems/difficulty concentrating (particularly at work, where I forget what Iwas doing at least 3 times a day).

We will see what the doctor has to say tomorrow. I know one thing- I will NOT go on medication for cholesterol. I can fix that myself. If I have to go on a daily medication for the thyroid thing, at least it will help me feel better and maybe I will have more energy to work out.

In other news, I had a dream the other night that I had a brown furry pet named Peanut. I would really like to get a dog or cat named Peanut!
