Crawfish Boil

In just a few weeks, we will be enjoying this deliciousness:

Hot, spicy crawfish and boudin and delicious boiled garlic. We will walk out of there with our mouths burning, our bellies full of mud bugs and unknown ground meat or organs or whatever boudin is, with the garlic smell coming out of our pores!

We get to see these two:

Our cousins Clinton and Kayla, and their baby girl Emma; plus most of the Hanna and Bell families.

We are both sad that we don't get to see Pop Paw Hanna.

We both had so much fun with him last time, joking around at the crawfish boil (I understood some of the jokes he was throwing out!), and then the next day at my favorite restaurant, Mr. B's Bistro. I don't know why we always look stupid when we try to take this same picture.

Last time we enjoyed the Sunday Jazz brunch with the family. This singer was great, and so was the clarinet player. Who knew the instrument that I butchered every day in middle school and high school could sound so great? Pop Paw Hanna really enjoyed the music.

I miss him and am still so thankful that he was able to be there for that weekend, and our wedding, which he was very insistent should happen. He used to check my finger for an engagement ring everytime I saw him.
