Since I could eat breakfast foods anytime, and for every meal, I decided to throw a breakfast for dinner party. PJs required.

We had bacon-wrapped pineapple and a gourmet garlic-broccoli quiche, fruit salad and mini-blueberry streusel muffins. The pineapple was to die for! The quiche was a good first try, but I need to get better at making crusts and not use whole-wheat flour, even if it means dropping everything to go to the store when the cold butter is waiting in the food processor. It still looks delicious:

We had friends:

We did boil-in-bag personalized omelettes, and personalized pancakes made by my darling husband. Everyone was able to customize the omelette they wanted, and we cooked 4 at a time in a big pot. We had a lot of OJ, with mimosas and screwdrivers, which most preferred with the cherry vodka. It was a wonderful time!
Afterwards we changed into our normal clothes and headed out to the Glass Cactus on Lake Grapevine for some dancing.

Well, us girls danced. The boys held down the table. They missed out big time on Le Freak:

And we took approximately 13.5 photos of ourselves, and this was the best one, complete with the greasy bang streak across my forehead.

I had a wonderful day with several great surprises.
Liz and Louis left me a hilarious inside-joke video on Facebook that made my face hurt from laughing so hard.Mike and Terri made the drive in, and brought an amazing gift with them, something I wanted so bad but told Bean as a joke because it's over the top:
And Bean told me that he has been researching dogs to get me one for my birthday. There is nothing I want more than a dog, but he convinced me a couple of months ago that it was a bad time for us to get one because of our schedules, and the hassle, and travel plans, and I finally believed him. I really didn't think we would get a dog until our kids were in school or something.
So I was shocked into contemplating a new addition to our family, and my only concern is this little one sleeping in the chair with me:

Any suggestions?

I can't stop thinking about:
1. Your omelet in a bag
2. Your cricut.
I officially hate you for being so cute and creative!!
Of course I'm kidding, but I'm super jealous of the cricut :)
What a fun birthday!!! I hate dogs but my suggestion is the beagle or the boxer. Our neighbor has a boxer and I almost like it. That says a lot.
