One day, her Mom sent her Dad outside to see what she was doing outside for so long and found this:
A nest of baby bunnies! Dad came inside and said "There are baby bunnies in the backyard, that's what she was doing". Mom exclaimed, "Was she eating them?!"
No, Brooklyn just took one out of the nest and was licking it. So Mom and Dad put on a glove nearby and put the baby back into the nest with it's brothers and sisters.
Days went by and they knew that the bunnies' mom had come back because she covered their bunny hole with grass and fur. The bunnies grew bigger and got some fur, but stayed in their nest.
They stayed snuggled together and Mom and Dad had to watch Brooklyn every time she went outside so she didn't bother the baby bunnies.
Then she noticed two baby bunnies lying dead near the bunny hole and ran inside. She told Dad two babies had died and they needed to be buried. He said, "I'll just throw them over the fence." Then he used the brand-new poop scooper, picked up the two baby bunnies, made sure the coast was clear, and threw the baby bunnies over the fence.
Later that evening, relieved that she didn't have to watch Brooklyn's every move, Mom opened the back door to let her in and saw her sweet dog holding a dead bunny in her mouth! She screamed and slammed the door in her puppy's face. She yelled for Dad. Opened the door and yelled, "Drop it!" and slammed the door again. Twice. Dad went out and was able to get the baby bunny out of Brooklyn's mouth, and threw it over a different side of the fence.
Mom was traumatized and asked if Brooklyn was eating the bunny or just playing with it. Luckily Brooklyn just thought it was a toy.
A couple of weeks went by and everything returned to normal. The bunnies on the other side of the fence were either eaten by other animals in the neighborhood or decomposed. The lawn guy came and mowed the lawn and Mom and Dad told him the story of the baby bunnies.
"That's what that horrible smell was!" he exclaimed. He said he ran over something while mowing and there was a horrible smell afterward and he couldn't figure out what it was.
The End.

Ok that was a disturbing story and very sad, even to me who hates animals. My parents had a nest just like that and hte mom bunny moved them one day so maybe some of them were moved by the mom. Let's just say htey were so I can sleep tonight.
I do think that most of them were moved by the mom when it rained. There were at least 5 of them in there, so we know at least 2 of them survived!
