I thought this recipe was going to be a Girl's Night recipe, because I don't know what leeks are. I've never used them. But I was excited to try them! Instead, Bean and I made this pizza one week. We actually had pizza several times that week- once we made a plain cheese pizza with a garlic crust.
Each night we made one, we used Pioneer Woman's dough recipe. It's pretty easy- much easier than I thought! I made her full dough recipe, and divided it up into parts. The recipe makes 2 full doughs, and we even divided it up into 4 so we wouldn't eat as much or let it go to waste.
So here's the pizza all ready to go in the oven:
Bean helped slice up the potatoes really thin. And he convinced me to use regular thick-cut bacon instead of turkey bacon. And the leeks! So delicious.
You can't deny this pizza looks amazing. It tasted amazing too. I mean, you take a bite and YUM just comes out before you realize it. Definitely a make- again. We just have to make it for someone, because it was way too much to finish in one night and didn't taste as good reheated. Still on the hunt for the perfect reheatable meals!
